Generator invited artists to apply to play this event.  Having received over 40 entries, we have selected the five best young and new bands.

With very special guest panellists:

Tom Robinson / BBC 6Music

Tom is undoubtedly one of the most important radio DJs for emerging music in the UK and regularly helps to boost the profile of many artists from the North East on his national BBC Introducing shows.

Peter Brewis / Field Music

In massively influential Sunderland band Field Music and through his solo project, The Week That Was, Peter has proven that he can consistently write catchy AND intelligent pop music.  As we eagerly await the next Field Music album, it’s a huge privilege to have Peter on this panel as someone the new bands can really look up to.

Claire Dupree / NARC

As editor of the region’s best monthly music magazine, Claire is the perfect guest for an event that showcases the array of talent in the North East- reliably informed and with a clear passion for emerging music.
