After a great start in 2009, Generator return to Middlesbrough in January for another SPEAR:TALK seminar.
THURSDAY 28th JANUARY
6-8pm
FREE Entry
Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt
The use of music in film, TV, advertising and games is now a massive income stream for musicians and songwriters and Generator has assembled a great line-up of sync professionals to advise Teesside musicians, songwriters, and music businesses.
This seminar will look at the following:-
- How to place music in film, TV, advertising and computer games.
- What are the benefits to artists, songwriters, labels and publishers?
- What revenue streams do syncs create?
- How does this work in relation to music publishing?
Syncs are also now part of marketing music and have helped to ‘break’ acts. With this in mind we will ask how significant a big commercial, film or game sync could be in terms of an artist marketing plot /plan.
RACHEL WOOD – Woodwork Music – specialists in selecting music for use in films, commercials, TV and games.
CONNIE FARR – ThinkSync Films – bringing independent film and music together
