International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day (IWD) is an annual and global event that takes place on the 8th March each year: it offers an opportunity for the celebration of women’s achievements throughout history and across the world, and also creates a platform from which women can consider and evaluate how far they have come in their struggle for equality over the years.
