Build It!
Since the 19th century, building and construction toys have been produced to stimulate and develop imagination and skills in children.
Simple wooden building blocks led the way to more complicated toys as manufacturing techniques improved and people could afford to buy more.
In the 20th century Meccano, Lego and Airfix became household names and the story of these and more is told in this interactive exhibition.
Can we build it? Yes we can!
