After an unbeaten start taking Newcastle United to the top of the Championship, the 12th September saw caretaker manager Chris Hughton and striker Shola Ameobi take the manager of the month and Championship player of the month awards for August. The St James Park soap opera continued unabated this Summer, after last season’s fall from grace (and the Barclays Premier League) and Mike Ashley’s decision to sell, not sell, sell again a club that monetarily appears to only slightly more expensive than a Galactico. |
